How many mL is 1 liter?
One liter (L) is 1,000 mL. It is also 1,000 cm³, and one cubic meter (m³) is 1,000 liters. So 1 m³ = 1,000 L = 1,000,000 mL.
How many liters is 1 gallon?
One US gallon is about 3.785411 L. US gallons are common for fuel economy and beverage sizes. The imperial (UK) gallon is different at about 4.546 L. This converter uses the US gallon.
How many mL is 1 cup in a recipe?
A Korean metric cup is 200 mL, which differs from the US cup (about 240 mL), so take care with overseas recipes. This converter uses the 200 mL cup.
Is a fluid ounce (fl oz) the same as a weight ounce?
No. A fluid ounce is a unit of volume, about 29.5735 mL in the US. The weight ounce (about 28.35 g) measures mass and is a completely different quantity, so do not confuse the two.
